Mid December 2023 the Disco Pirates Krewe was born from a magical adventure on the serene waters of Weeki Wachee. A group of friends decided to reconnect and celebrate the holiday together in nature with a unique twist—a Christmas-themed trip on the fresh springs. Decked out in festive attire, we set off on a kayaking journey that would change our lives forever.

As we paddled through the crystal-clear springs, laughter echoed through the air, and the spirit of camaraderie grew stronger with each stroke. Amidst the natural beauty, holiday cheer, and our love for manatees, an idea began to take shape. We realized that our shared love for adventure, friendship, music and serving community is special, something worth sharing with the world.

And so, the Disco Pirates Krewe was founded. Our mission is Energizing Change one Beat at a Time.   We harness the energy of disco to spread cheer, promote harmony, and amplify community driven movements. We bring people together through fun, outdoor activities, and to celebrate the joy of living life to the fullest. Whether it’s a themed kayak trip, a beach picnic, or a community volunteering event, we believe in creating unforgettable experiences that foster connection and happiness.
